Padstow Christmas Festival 2013 Gallery
With a brand new location and an enlarged layout this year Padstow festival’s Christmas Market had over a hundred stalls displaying the cream of Cornish produce. The selection of produce this year included artisan breads, fruity jams, local cheese, Cornish meats and charcuterie.
Cornwall’s breweries were well represented by the popular local brewer and festival sponsors Sharp’s. Their Cornish pilsner was formally named the World’s Best Lager at the 2013 World beer Awards. There were also arts and crafts too, with hand-crafted jewellery, paintings, handbags, soft toys etc. Outside the main marquee, pop-up food stands were cooking a great selection of dishes including the always popular Blas Burgers, Dollies Donuts and wood fired pizza by Wild Bake.
For many people the main reason for visiting were the cooking demonstrations by the country’s top chefs. This year’s line-up was like a who’s who of the cheffing world and word has it that next year is already booked up, with returning chefs and new names clambering to join the guest chefs!
